FuldFartFilm presents GLIMPSE!

FuldFartFilm is proud to present the Danish no-budget feature film GLIMPSE which, after a successful Danish DVD-release, we now promote to the rest of the world.

The story in GLIMPSE centers around Morten, a young medical student, whose Japanese girlfriend dies under mysterious circumstances. When strange things begin to happen around him, he tries to find out who she really was. He discovers that her family is haunted by a curse, a curse that now haunts him and can only be broken in one special way. But the more he learns about his former Japanese girlfriend's family, the more he learns about his own family as well - and one tragedy rarely comes alone.

GLIMPSE is a Japanese-inspired horror movie, building on the popular Asian horror-style which has proven its success around the world with original titles like The Ring, Dark Water and The Grudge. The film blends Western sceptisism with Asian superstition and the result is a unique psychological thriller.

The lead in GLIMPSE is played by Elias Eliot, known from the Danish TV-show Menneskedyret (The Human Animal) and from a long list of short films. The film contains original score composed by the classical trained Thomas Gooseman and with Sound Design by Anders Due-Boje, who through the years has produced music for an impressive list of Danish hip-hop artist. GLIMPSE is written, directed and produced by Nicolas Russell Bennetzen, who has made a number of short films in the Danish underground filmclub Yuffies and the Danish chapter of Group101.

GLIMPSE was produced for just $5.000 without any government support. The entire cast and crew worked for free for the 31-days of shooting and even paid for their own food and transportation. The film was shot on DV-format and edited using a home computer. To raise the quality the entire audio track was re-created in post-production, including re-recording of all the dialog. The project took 18 months to complete.

The result can be seen on the GLIMPSE 2-DISC SPECIAL EDITION DVD containing the Director's Cut version of the film. Also included is a 60-minutes Behind-the-Scenes feature ”A GLIMPSE of Talent”, a featurette about the sound work ”Sound of GLIMPSE”, the short film ”Private Talks”, a slideshow with photos from the shoot and the net-published trailers. English subtitles are available on all the extra features and ofcause on the film itself.

GLIMPSE has been shown several times on Danish cable channel DK4 and was released on DVD in Denmark in 2007 by Danish distributor Midget Entertainment. It screened at the Danish “Loco Ono Filmclub” as part of their 2007 program and has just been selected for screening at the Danish festival “Fantasticon 2008”.

Nicolas: ”GLIMPSE was first and foremost made to gain practical experience in developing, producing and distributing no-budget feature films. From the start of the project the main focus was on the process more then the end result and the learning curve has been steep. GLIMPSE is not a perfect film, but those who have seen it, have giving it a lot of positive feedback. That we actually succeded in following through with this project is a testament to exhaustive preparation and a super-dedicated team.”

The GLIMPSE TRAILER can be seen on www.fuldfartfilm.com. The website also contains photos from the shoot and information about the film and the people behind it.
